The aim of COBLI (Colloquium on Branding, Labeling and Intelligence) is to help advance knowledge in branding and labeling for the sake of innovation and scientific valorisation. Branding is continuously gaining thematic importance among academics and practitioners. At the same time, many products and brands, connected to different types of intelligence, are associated with some labels. Nowadays, branding and labeling gain contributions from new trends in Digital and Artificial intelligence. Academics and researchers are invited to present results of their scientific work by submitting a paper. It may include areas such as marketing, geography, management, economics, sociology, psychology, anthropology, ecology, computer science etc.This will help contribute to the discussion on the current and future developments in Branding and Labeling research related to digital technologies (e.g., social media, mobile apps, tablet, big data, augmented reality, virtual communities …) and artificial intelligence (leading to automated and interconnected business processes). The thematic areas for this colloquium may cover broad topics. Papers can either be practical, empirical or conceptual. Analysis of creation and labeling approaches can be applied to products - as well as various brands in the Agro-Food, retail industries and territories. Also, consider geographically protected products under various labels or forms of branding territories into cultural, landscape, heritage or territorial public action with its own "distinctions" (territories with positive energy, zero-waste territories, territories with zero unemployment, etc.). The different methods used may include surveys, case studies, action research, secondary data…). Papers can also adopt a multidisciplinary approach or should extend across various perspectives for instance disciplines such as economics, history, geography, computer science, law, health, ethics, management etc. We expect to receive high quality submissions which may either be a conceptual or empirical study, a qualitative and/or quantitative papers. Your work has to contribute to new trends and research avenues on Branding and Labeling in line with the modern era and the effects of digital and artificial intelligence. Submitted proposals will be evaluated and selected by the Scientific Committee based on their quality, whether they are conceptual, empirical papers, qualitative or quantitative works that contribute to new trends and research avenues on Branding and Labeling in line with the modern era and the effects of digital and artificial intelligence. Suggested topics include but are non-exhaustive and non-exclusive of : Branding, Digital and Artificial intelligence Labeling, Digital and Artificial intelligence Corporate branding : brand community, resilience, resistance Local, Store, National, Low cost, Luxury, Masstige brand… Place, City, territory, nation branding and labeling Private, Public Labeling Branding and Labeling in/of Emerging countries Influence of new technologies on B2B Branding and Labeling The role of new technologies for research in Branding and Labeling Digital and « emerging » media for promoting Brand equity, corporate image, identity, reputation, influence, trust, transparency, interactions with stakeholders… KEY DATES Deadline for the submission of papers is the 15th of January 2019 Authors will get a Feedback on the 25th of February 2019 Submission of full length paper is the 18th of March 2019 Registration and payment: From the 25th of February 2019 to the 28th of June 2019
SUBMISSIONS Papers should be submitted via : https://cobli.sciencesconf.orgPapers can be written either in French or English. Presentations will be made in both languages. There will be a selection of papers presented at the colloquium and authors will be requested to submit a complete and final versions of their work for scientific publications in a book that will be edited in English by Nova Publishers and in journal of Food Systems (FNEGE 4). Submission formats: Two formats Short format: Papers must have a maximum of 5 pages with Times New Roman font, single line spacing, margins 2.5 excluding title page and authors’ contact, bibliographical references and appendices. They should present a research completed on a conceptual and/or empirical plan. Long format: Papers must have a maximum of 15 pages with Times New Roman font, single line spacing, margins 2.5 excluding title page and authors’ contact, bibliographical references and appendices.
